NLP
What is it?
NLP is a science and methodology for understanding and changing human behaviour

NLP is about modeling performance and applying that to different contexts

NLP is the study of your subjective reality, or to put it more simply, how your brain makes you behave and feel the way you do.

We learn our behaviour from our experiences and the people around us as we grow up, and this programs our brain to perceive things and to react to the world in a certain way.

NLP is more concerned with how we do something rather than the why (that’s for psychoanalysis). So what is the strategy or program we have developed and learnt to enabe us to behave in the way we do. NLP allows you to understand what these programs are, and then reprogram them, because our behaviour is learnt, we are able to unlearn it!
How do we use it?
In one respect we can’t not use it! As it part of how we see the world and how we process information, as NLP is also an attitude or epistemology. If you want to learn more about the presuppositions of NLP click here

However we also use NLP more overtly because it has produced certain techniques that can be hugely effective in change work. So we use it in our coaching, facilitation and team building, and trainings activities.

We also train people in NLP skills. Either as advanced coaching skills practitioner course, or as a one day taster
